I think somewhere around August or September 2009 when we were getting the non stop rain, I was checking out the items in the gift shop. From the gift shop there is this access half door that leads into the CCC room, which connects to the swinging door to the kitchen. The lights were not on in the CCC room, but visible enough for me to see people coming in and out. Anyway, I was looking down at a cookbook, when I saw this man...taller than me (but most people are) in a dark rain trench coat type outfit, quickly walk right in front of me and OPEN the swinging door into the kitchen. I didn't see his face, but I figured it was either a maintenance guy or my boss who was running a little bit late (not that we needed him..ha ha). Shortly, the cook and cashier popped their heads out the door asked me if I opened the door. "No, I have been standing in here (gift shop). That man opened the door." They said that they didn't see a man, just the door swing open and nobody entering. I swore it wasn't me...and we all gave each other a look and laughed, and told Mr. Mather to go about his business!
My boss has seen a woman down in the storage hall, but that's his story.
I am currently on maternity leave, but I plan on returning back to my friends (alive and dead) and visitors in April.
I do believe in spirits. You have nothing to worry about. They don't hurt us.I have a child that has seen spirits all her life and 2 of her children do.Spirits like children and usually just want to play with them. You'll be fine..
ReplyDeleteWhen it's night and we hear voices, we get scared. But actually seeing the figure didn't scare me at all.
ReplyDeleteMe and my husband stayed there in cabin number 1 at Mather Lodge.. back around 2 or 3 years ago the first night was okay but the second night was a crazy one the lights in the kitchen and the bathroom kept flickering off and on the air conditioner in the bedroom kept turning off and on then the heater would turn off and on for a while until we finally unplugged it in the morning when we was getting ready to leave.. I kept hearing Indian drums.. it was around 5:30 in the morning.. every time I will look out the window it would stop it did it a few times until I ask my husband do you hear that he said yes the Indian drums then he got up and looked out the window and they stopped we were getting ready to come back home so we just packed everything and left as fast as we could.. so there was definitely something going on in that cabin
